Our step-by-step guide to selling your property
Traditionally spring has always been the time for selling a property, however, with interest rate rises and some economic uncertainty, some property owners may be holding back.
However, there are some pointers to remind us why now might be the time to put your property on the market.
While CoreLogic’s national Home Value Index (HVI) recorded a fourth consecutive month of decline, with values down -1.6% in August, it’s worth noting, the flow of new listings may not be as high as previous years. This means there will be less competition because there are less properties on the market.
And remember, if your property value has fallen due to market circumstances, so have all the other properties – which means you might be able to grab yourself a bargain.
Furthermore, the NSW and Federal Governments are offering different schemes to help home ownership.
It’s worth remembering too, there has been substantial rise in housing values between September 2020 and April 2022, so the chances are, if you sold your property tomorrow, you’ll still be up on a sales figure than you were two years ago.
